Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of being your chosen tattoo removal studio. We understand that things in life change and a tattoo no longer has to be permanent.

After the procedure, you may experience some redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, scabbing or blistering. This is a normal process as the body works to eliminate the tattoo pigment. As the new layers of skin grow and the old tattoo is pushed towards the surface, the fragmented pigment is removed internally by scavenger cells. It will eventually form a scab and then disappear, leaving fresh new skin tattoo free.

Following the treatment, we will apply your aftercare and dress your tattoo with second skin – it is important to leave this on for as long as possible. It is also waterproof so you may shower as normal.

Once your dressing is removed, apply your aftercare to the treated area 3-4 times per day – keep it well hydrated over the next 2 weeks. Allow scabs or blisters to fall off on their own. Do not pick or scratch.

Avoid excessive heat in the skin (exercise, hot bath, shower, sauna etc. for 24- 48 hours).

It is best to avoid excessive drinking over the next 48-72 hours and smoking can constrict the capillaries, taxing the immune system which may slow the healing and results.

The treated area may feel slightly sunburned for a couple of days and cold packs can be applied as needed for comfort. If necessary, take over-the-counter pain or anti-inflammatory medication.

The treated area may remain red & puffy for up to a few weeks.

It is common for blisters to form, do not puncture them. Let them reabsorb or break on their own – keep applying your aftercare & keep them protected.

If there is any crusting or oozing from the treated area (this is also not unusual, especially with early treatments) continue applying your aftercare after cleansing and then cover.

Deposits, Cancellations and Rescheduling

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. However, we are happy to reschedule your appointment if required. A minimum of 5 days notice before your booking is required if you need to reschedule your appointment for any reason. As long as sufficient notice is provided, we’d be happy to rebook you for a future date using the deposit you have already paid.

If you cancel your appointment within 5 days of your appointment or need to reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited and to reschedule, a new deposit for your appointment will be required. More than 2 cancellations/reschedules will require a 50% deposit to rebook.

If booking in your appointment with finance, the finance account is required to be activated 4 days ahead of the appointment. In the event that you cancel your appointment after finance has been activated, we will allow you to reschedule your appointment once as long as arranged with the studio within 48 hours. To reschedule the appointment, we will require a new deposit and payment schedules will begin. note: once activated, you are committing to the payment schedule which we cannot alter. Any requests must be made through the fiance provider direct.
