The Wolves Den - Studio Policies

At The Wolves Den, every tattoo, piercing, and laser session is treated with care, intention, and respect.

Your time matters.

These policies protect both – ensuring clarity, consistency, and a premium experience from booking to aftercare.

Fixed Pricing

All tattoos are quoted by the piece or session – not by the hour.

This means:

  • You know your investment upfront
  • No clock-watching
  • No surprise time-based charges

Your quote is based on:

  • Design complexity
  • Size
  • Placement
  • Detail level
  • Estimated session length

The quoted price remains the same even if the session runs shorter or longer than expected – unless the design changes.

Price may change if:

  • Size increases
  • Detail increases
  • Placement changes to a more complex area
  • You tap out early and require an additional session
  • Major design changes are requested

Deposits, Rescheduling & Cancellations

Deposits secure your artist’s or technician’s time.

All deposits are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-transferable
  • Required to secure a booking

5-Day Reschedule Rule

To retain your deposit, you must reschedule:

At least 5 days before your appointment start time.

Confirmation cut-off:
By 2:00PM, 5 days prior.

If less than 5 days’ notice is given:

  • The deposit is forfeited
  • A new deposit is required to rebook

Rebooking After Cancellation 

If you cancel with sufficient notice:

  • Your deposit is not held as a credit.
  • It can only be transferred once a new booking is secured.
  • You have 48 hours from cancellation to secure a new date.
  • If no booking is secured within 48 hours, the deposit is forfeited.

Deposits are never held without an active booking.

Reschedule Limits

  • You may reschedule up to 2 times within 12 months (with correct notice).
  • A third reschedule requires a new deposit.
  • Deposits expire after 12 months.

No-Shows

Failure to attend without notice results in forfeiture of the deposit.

Repeated no-shows may require higher deposits or full payment upfront for future bookings.

Deposits, Cancellations and Rescheduling

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. However, we are happy to reschedule your appointment if required. A minimum of 5 days notice before your booking is required if you need to reschedule your appointment for any reason. As long as sufficient notice is provided, we’d be happy to rebook you for a future date using the deposit you have already paid.

If you cancel your appointment within 5 days of your appointment or need to reschedule, your deposit will be forfeited and to reschedule, a new deposit for your appointment will be required. More than 2 cancellations/reschedules will require a 50% deposit to rebook.

If booking in your appointment with finance, the finance account is required to be activated 4 days ahead of the appointment. In the event that you cancel your appointment after finance has been activated, we will allow you to reschedule your appointment once as long as arranged with the studio within 48 hours. To reschedule the appointment, we will require a new deposit and payment schedules will begin. note: once activated, you are committing to the payment schedule which we cannot alter. Any requests must be made through the fiance provider direct.

Lateness

Please arrive 10 minutes early.

If you arrive 10–15 minutes late:

  • Your session may be shortened
  • You may still be charged the full quoted price
  • If your session cannot proceed due to lateness, your deposit will be forfeited

Appointment Confirmations

You will receive an SMS 7 days before your appointment.

Please reply YES to confirm.

If confirmation is not received and we cannot contact you:

  • Your appointment may be cancelled
  • Your deposit forfeited

Failure to confirm is treated as a client-initiated cancellation.

Design Finalisation

Final designs are reviewed on the day of your appointment.

Major design changes must be submitted 3+ days prior.

If major changes are requested on the day:

  • Pricing may increase, or
  • The appointment may need to be rescheduled (new deposit may apply)

If Your Artist or Technician Is Unwell

If your artist becomes unavailable, we will:

  • Notify you as soon as possible
  • Offer a reschedule, or
  • Offer transfer to another suitable artist (if appropriate)

Deposits remain non-refundable but will transfer to your new appointment.

Artist Departure

If an artist leaves The Wolves Den:

If you have not specifically requested that artist:

  • Your booking may be moved to a suitable alternative artist.

If you have an ongoing piece or specifically requested that artist:
You may choose to:

  • Continue your project with another The Wolves Den artist, or
  • Have your deposit transferred to the departing artist.

Deposits remain non-refundable.

Laser Tattoo Removal – Expectations

Laser removal is a gradual process.

Results vary based on:

  • Ink density and colour
  • Skin type
  • Immune response
  • Tattoo age and location

We cannot guarantee:

  • Number of sessions
  • Full removal
  • Specific timelines

Consistent sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart are recommended for best results.

Touch-Ups

One complimentary touch-up (minor only) may be provided within 3 months of your original appointment. Additional fees may apply.

Not eligible if:

  • High-wear areas
  • Poor aftercare
  • Flash/discounted tattoos
  • Cover-ups or scar work
  • Artist no longer works at studio

High-Wear Areas

Hands, fingers, feet, elbows, neck and similar areas are prone to fading.

These are not eligible for complimentary touch-ups.

Cover-Ups & Restorations

Cover-ups and restorations often require:

  • Larger designs
  • Flexibility
  • Multiple sessions

Tattoo removal may be recommended prior to a coverup.

Touch-ups for cover-ups are not complimentary.

Pregnancy

We do not tattoo, pierce, or perform laser during pregnancy.

Before Your Appointment

  • Arrive 10 minutes early
  • Eat beforehand
  • Stay hydrated
  • Wear suitable clothing
  • No intoxication
  • No sunburn or broken skin

We reserve the right to refuse service if skin is unsuitable.

Payment Policy

Full payment is required on the day of your appointment.

Deposits are non-refundable.

We comply with the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.

No. Tattooing anyone under 18 is illegal in Victoria, even with parental consent.

Yes – under strict age requirements:

Age 10+
• Ear lobes only
• Parent/legal guardian present with photo ID + proof of guardianship

Age 13–15
• Non-intimate piercings (nostril, cartilage, conch, daith, rook, tragus, industrial, eyebrow, lip, tongue, navel)
• Parent/legal guardian present with ID + proof of guardianship

Age 16+
• Same piercings as above without parental consent
• Valid photo ID required

18+ only
• Nipple piercings
• Dermal anchors

We do not offer genital, anal, or perineal piercings.
